Finn Taylor was born in 1982 in Hong Kong. His early childhood was spent in Cyprus until he moved to Dorset in 1993. Finn always had a camera close by growing up, kicking off with a 110 picked from the Argos catalogue. From the age of 7, Finn became the trusted photographer, documenting school trips, baseball club, fishing trips and summer camps.
At 18, Finn moved to Sussex and started the next chapter at Brighton University. Not getting onto the photography course proved invaluable as Finn then learnt first hand what it was to be a photographer. He educated himself through books, camera shops, exhibitions, a mini darkroom and shooting endless rolls of film.
Finn's polished, low-maintenance and quick method of working has led to campaigns for Nike, portraits for the Guardian Weekend Magazine, and stories on kids in chicken shops and East London Athletes.
